Houseboat stay is a unique experience found in Kerala. There are 02 options for experiencing the cruise- Overnight stay and day cruise. It is suggestible to do a day cruise in the houseboat and stay in a hotel for the night due to limited services and entertainment limitations inside the houseboat.
Normally South Indian Non veg meals with fish and Chicken are served in the houseboat. Vegetarian options are also available.
Coconut oil / sunflower oil is used for cooking in Kerala hotels.
Limited Jain menu is available in majority of Kerala hotels. Jain food may not be available in buffet at hotels, however the hotels will make arrangements for jain food if it informed in advance at the time of booking. For all Indian nationals, a government approved ID proof id required to enter Andamans. For all foreign nationals a valid visa and passport is required to enter Andamans. Citizen of Afghanistan, China and Pakistan and foreign nationals having their origin in these countries would require the Restricted Area Permit to visit Andaman & Nicobar Islands apart from Visa. Restricted Area Permit should be acquired through the Ministry of home affairs.
